Abstract

Developing the model of thermal skin burn with the development of cicatricial alopecia in rats, taking
into account the features of the healing of their wounds. Materials and Methods: The studies were carried out on
12 white adult outbred rats of the first year of life weighing 200,5±2,7 g. All animals were divided randomly into two
groups of 6 each. In the experimental group, a thermal burn was caused by boiling water on the frontal area of the
head. In the control group, a burn was caused on the skin of the back in the interscapular region. Results: 30 days
after the application of the burn injury, in the experimental group cicatricial changes of the skin with the absence of
hair follicles were observed, whereas in the control one, scar formation was not observed. Conclusion: The presented
model allows reproducing post-burn scar alopecia. The proposed method of modeling can be used in experimental and
clinical medicine at the stages of preclinical studies of new methods for their treatment.
